MASS @ The Front
The Front excitedly welcomes MASS—an Austin, TX collectively run nonprofit gallery and project space—to New Orleans for a group exhibition made up of new work by its current members. Consisting of a cast culled from Austin’s rich community of artists, writers, musicians and educators, MASS fosters exploratory modes of creation by encouraging artists to broaden the scope of their practice, while providing a friendly conversation space for the community to engage with contemporary art. Bringing their work and ideology to share with New Orleans, MASS continues in the spirit of The Front’s Collective Exchange Program and will open its doors to our New Orleans based artists in the summer of 2015.
