Jill Stoll
Fictitious Cartographies

I have an insatiable desire to deconstruct and reorder the urban fabric through collage; cut and paste collage with a nod towards the masters Anne Ryan and Kurt Schwitters. Collage is a hoarders art and everything that is printed has charm and magic, but I also consider the surface of medium format film an opportunity for collage. Using masking devices that fit between the film and the lens inside the camera and exposing the film several times, a palimpsest of information is recorded. These are imagined, fictitious cartographies.

Born and raised in Michigan, Jill Stoll was fortunate to attend two of the state’s most celebrated cultural institutions, earning a high school diploma from Interlochen Arts Academy and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Eight years teaching young architectural designers has alighted new circuits in how Stoll sees the built world; it has triggered the holy trinity between the eye, hand, and brain, which has spurned new directions in her making and inspired the intersection of digital fabrication methods with time-honored analog processes.

Cristina Molina
Anna Freud and Her Father

Anna Freud and Her Father is a body of work that focuses on the dynamics of interpersonal relationships between daughters and their filial figures. By blending Anna Freud's biography with my own, archetypes of authority, mentorship, and the nurturer are dismantled into a para-historical narrative. 

Cristina Molina was born and raised in Miami, FL and is a recent transplant to New Orleans where she is an artist member of The Front, and Assistant Professor of New Media and Animation at Southeastern Louisiana University. Molina's work investigates interpersonal experience as it relates to the sensorial and psychological. Using electronic media, Molina often produces tactile and immersive installations that encourage audience participation. Cristina Molina's work has been exhibited regionally and abroad including: El Palacio de Bellas Artes in the Dominican Republic, the Gallery at the Universita Degli Studi di Genova in Genoa, Italy, The Dialogue Space at Proyecto 'Ace in Buenos Aires Argentina, Makii Masaru Fine Art + Ginza Art Lab in Tokyo, ArteAmericas, North Miami MOCA, SCOPE international art fair, Frost Museum of Art in Miami, Harn Museum of art in Gainesville, Girls Club Collection in Ft. Lauderdale, Dorsch Gallery, and the Sixth Street Container Miami, Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, The Front, and The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans.
