Room 1:
Sarah Peters
In Our Youth Our Hearts Were Touched With Fire
New York based artist Sarah Peters’ portrait and seascape drawings depict a world inhabited by American outsiders. Inspired by early American art and colonial history, her work examines the transforming and often violent forces that shape, distort, and alter person and place. She is currently a Fellow of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Mass.
