Brooke Pickett
Good Grief: New Paintings
Brooke Pickett is an artist currently living and working in New Orleans. Pickett earned a M.F.A. in Painting from the University of Albany, State University of New York in 2005 and a B.A. in both Painting and Literature from the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge in 2002. She was an artist in residence with the Joan Mitchell Center in 2013, at Hotel Pupik, Schrattenberg, Austria in 2009 and at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts in 2007. From 2008-2010, Pickett was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Painting at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. She has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions, most recently in New York City, Mexico City, Tokyo, Austin and Houston. Pickett's work is included in numerous private and public collections, including a recent acquisition by the New Orleans Museum of Art.

Joey Tipton, Johanna Warwick, Jessica Vogel Brown
Unshadowed
Unshadowed is an exhibition of selected works by Jessica Vogel Brown, Joey Tipton, and Johanna Warwick. The work in this exhibition reveals and illuminates aspects of various subjects, places, and specimens through re-contextualized photographic imagery, assembled video, field recordings, and sculpture. The exhibition focuses on the light we often cannot see.
In 2002 Joey finished his BFA studies at East Tennessee State University and moved to upstate New York. Every year for the next five years he moved at least once a year, continued to make work, show and apply to graduate school. In 2007 Mr. Tipton began his MFA studies at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Since completing his studies and earning an MFA, Joey has had a bespoke career of making, showing, teaching, and doing contract museum preparator work. He has exhibited work in Tennessee, Boston, New York, most recently Las Vegas, and is looking forward to a residency at Can Serrat in Spain this summer. Joey currently lives and works in Baton Rouge, LA.
Johanna Warwick is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design MFA Photography 2010, and Ryerson University BFA in photography 2006. She is a British born, Canadian raised photographer now working and living in Baton Rouge, LA where she is an Assistant Professor of Photography at Louisiana State University. She has exhibited in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles and other major cities across North America. She most recently had a solo exhibition Monuments to Strangers at the VisCom Gallery in Dallas, TX in 2016.
Jessica Vogel Brown was born in New Orleans and received her BFA in 2008 from Wake Forest University and her MFA in sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2012. In 2013, she moved back to New Orleans where she continues her art practice and teaches sculpture at Luther Charter School. Jessica is a current member of The Front gallery and has exhibited work nationally and internationally.
